Text Message Updates
How and why NC Recovery sends text messages, and how to opt out.
When you book a vehicle recovery with us, we use the mobile number you give us to send service updates about that job - booking confirmation, delivery notification, and a single follow-up inviting feedback. We never send marketing texts, and you can opt out at any time by calling 01722 466784 or emailing info@ncrecovery.co.uk.
What We Send
Our messages appear from the sender name NCRecovery (or as NC Recovery with our logo on phones that support RCS business messaging). Every message relates to a recovery job you have booked with us:
- Booking confirmation - confirming we have your recovery booked in.
- Delivery notification - letting you know when your vehicle has been delivered.
- Feedback invitation - one message after a completed job inviting you to review your experience.
That's it. We do not send marketing, promotions, or anything unrelated to your recovery job.
How You Opt In
We only message numbers given to us as the contact for a recovery job. That happens in one of three ways:
- By phone - when you call our dispatch team on 01722 466784 to book a recovery, you give us your mobile number as the contact for the job, and we tell you we'll use it to keep you updated about your recovery.
- Online booking - bookings made through our booking portal include a contact telephone field; the number entered there receives updates about that recovery job.
- At the roadside - our driver or office staff confirm your contact number in person when attending your breakdown or collection, and record it against your job.
Providing your mobile number when booking a recovery is your request to receive these service updates. We only message you about that job.
How to Opt Out
Our sender name can't receive replies, so to stop receiving messages simply:
- Call us on 01722 466784, or
- Email info@ncrecovery.co.uk with the word "STOP" and your mobile number.
We'll remove your number straight away. Opting out never affects your recovery service.
Your Data
Your number is stored against your recovery job, used only for the messages described above, and handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We limit repeat messages: the same mobile number will not receive more than one feedback invitation within 30 days, however many jobs it books.
