About Chichester

Chichester is a Roman cathedral city tucked under the South Downs, with the Chichester Plain stretching south to Selsey and the harbour. The PO18-PO20 postcodes cover the city centre, the cathedral and pedestrianised North/South/East/West Streets, the suburbs of Whyke, Summersdale and Fishbourne, and out across the plain to Bosham, West Wittering, East Wittering, Selsey and the Manhood Peninsula. Goodwood, Festivals and Classic Cars

Festival of Speed weekend traffic backs up the A286 through Lavant from Friday morning to Sunday night. The Revival, in September, brings a similar pattern but with even more pre-1966 classics, many of which have not seen a long motorway run since the year before. We get calls every event for fuel pump failures, overheating, dead batteries on classics, and minor shunts in the queues. Flatbed recovery is essential for older and high-value cars - never wheel-lift a classic - and we move them either to a local garage, back to Goodwood's own paddock, or all the way home for owners who have travelled in.
